1. Back up your iPhone
Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup → Back Up Now. Or plug into a computer and back up with Finder / iTunes. Your photos, contacts, and messages come with you to your next phone.

2. Turn off Find My iPhone
Settings → your name → Find My → Find My iPhone → off (you'll need your Apple ID password). This removes Activation Lock.

3. Factory reset
Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Erase All Content and Settings. This wipes your personal data. If you're not sure your backup worked, skip this step and we'll help you do it safely at the counter.

4. Bring the charger (and a charged phone)
Bring it charged so we can test it, and bring the charger too if you still have it. Call (916) 627-1818 to confirm anything else you need to bring.
